It is possible that for a launcher to hide when being tested in a live session that you will need to logout/in to see changes

This test will check that a new launcher can be added and moved to an existing menu

Right click on menu
Select Edit Applications
MenuLibre opens
Click + in the toolbar
Select Add Launcher
New launcher appears in the left column of MenuLibre
At bottom of Menu Browser click arrows to move new launcher
New launcher moves up and down in menu hierarchy in response
Move New launcher to below Accessories
Click arrow to side of Accessories to open that menu directory
Select New launcher, click up arrow
New launcher moves inside Accessories
In entry editor, select the Command entry
Enter xfce4-terminal in Command area
Click into Categories area
Click + at bottom of categories area
Select a category appears
Double click on Select a category
Category list appears
Select Other - GTK
Category area reflects new category
Save launcher using toolbar button
Open menu, navigate to Accessories
New launcher appears in Accessories menu
Click new launcher
Terminal opens
In Menu Editor - hover over launcher title and click
Enter new name for launcher and press enter
New name is set
Save launcher using toolbar button
Open menu, navigate to Accessories
Menu entry reflects the new name

This test will check that a launcher can be hidden from the menu

In MenuLibre select previously created launcher
In Entry editor, click Hide from menus
Button shows ON
Save launcher using toolbar button
Open menu, navigate to Accessories
Launcher is now not shown in menu
Reverse the previous step to disable hiding and save launcher

This test will check that a new menu level directory can be added

Press + in toolbar and select Add Directory
New directory appears in menu browser
In Menu Editor - hover over directory title and click
Enter new name for directory and press enter
New name is set
Save new directory from toolbar
Open menu
New directory is not shown in menu

This test will check that an empty directory will be visible in menu with a valid menu entry

Select the previously created new directory
Using + key in toolbar add a new launcher
New launcher appears in new directory
Using previous instructions, create a valid launcher for xfce4-terminal
Save new launcher
Open menu, navigate to new directory
Menu entry now appears
