This tests that parole can open many different files.
- Launch Parole
- Parole opens
- Download some different video and audio formats from https://samples.mplayerhq.hu/
- Open then Play each file with parole
- All files play (including those that needed new codecs)
- If a required codec is missing, an installation prompt appears and installs the missing codec. Afterwards, media playback begins
- Insert then Play some CDs and DVDs
- CDs and DVDs play (note: to play encrypted DVDs, you will need to have libdvdcss2 installed)
- Chapters and tracks for CDs/DVDs are shown in the playlist
- Use (external) subtitles for a video file
- Subtitles work and show up correctly
