This test will check that Session and Startup opens and closes correctly

Open Settings from the Whiskermenu
Settings dialog opens
Open Session and Startup from System group
Session and Startup opens
Press All Settings
Session closes leaving main Settings window

This test will check that Session chooser appears at login. Logging out will be required.

Open Session and Startup from System group
Session and Startup opens
In General tab, select Display chooser on login
Tick appears in box
Press Close
Session and Startup closes
From whiskermenu power button choose logout, select Save session for future logins
Tick appears in box
Press logout
User is logged out
Login as user, entering password if required
Lightdm login dialogue closes
Session dialogue appears
Double click Default
User logged in to Desktop

This test will check that applications are restored with sessions. Logging out will be required.

Open Settings from the Whiskermenu
Settings dialog opens
Open Session and Startup from System group
Session and Startup opens
Press Super+3
LibreOffice Writer opens
Go to Session tab of Session and Startup
Dialogue changes to session
Press Save Session
Session save dialogue momentarily appears and closes
Close Session and Startup with close button
Session dialogue closes
Focus on LibreOffice Writer and press Ctrl+Q
LibreOffice Writer closes
From whiskermenu power button choose logout
Logout dialogue appears with Save session ticked
Untick Save session and press logout
User is logged out
Login as user, entering password if required
Lightdm login dialogue closes
Session dialogue appears
Double click Default
User logged in to Desktop
LibreOffice Writer opens
Close LibreOffice Writer
LibreOffice Writer closes

This test will check that Session saves are cleared correctly. Logging out will be required.

Open Settings from the Whiskermenu
Settings dialog opens
Open Session and Startup from System group
Session and Startup opens
Go to Session tab of Session and Startup
Dialogue changes to session
Press Clear saved sessions
Clear sessions dialogue appears
Press Proceed
Dialogue closes
Close Session and Startup with close button
Session dialogue closes
From whiskermenu power button choose logout
User is logged out
Login as user, entering password if required
Lightdm login dialogue closes
User logged in to Desktop with no saved applications appearing

This test will check that Applications added the Autostart list start correctly. Logging out will be required.

Open Settings from the Whsikermenu
Settings dialog opens
Open Session and Startup from System group
Session and Startup opens
In General Tab - select Display Chooser on login
Tick not shown in box
Go to Application Autostart tab
Dialogue changes to show current Autostart applications
Press Add button
Add application dialogue appears
In Name box type Test, select Description box
Test shows in Name box
In description box type LibreOffice Writer test, select Command box
LibreOffice Writer test shows in Description box
Click button to right of Command box
Select command dialogue appears
Navigate to /usr/bin/LibreOffice Writer, select and click OK
Command selection dialogue closes, command box populated with command
Click OK
Add application dialogue closes
Move to the bottom of the application list
New item shown as Test(LibreOffice Writer Test) with box populated with a tick
Close Session and startup, logout and then login once more
User logs back into Desktop, LibreOffice Writer starts
