Text | This test will check that Audacity Transport Toolbar Works
- Go to File menu and then Click on "Open..."
- A new window should appear, pick up an audio file and open it.
- Can you see the file information on the desk?
- Go to Audacity Transport Toolbar, once there...
- Click on Play icon
- Did the audio file start to sound?
- Click on Pause icon
- Was the audio file paused?
- Click on Play icon again
- Click on Stop icon
- Was the audio file stopped completely?
- Click on Record icon
- A new entry should appear in the desk
- Record your voice, stopped and play it. Can you hear yourself?
This test will check that Audacity Device Toolbar Works
- All options are in default mode
- Output and Input devices are in default.
- Go to Audio Host
- ALSA by default and if you have another Audio Hosts pick it.
- Go to Output Device
- Could you select a different device (pulse, hdmi or anything else)?
- Go to Input Device
- Could you select a different device (pulse, sysdefault or anything else)?
- Go to Input Channels
- Could you select a different channel?
This test will check that Audacity Tools Toolbar Works
- Click on "Selection Tool"
- Select a segment of the song and click on "Play" button
- Did you only listen the audio segment?
- Click on "Time Shift Tool"
- You should be available to move the track in the time line.
- Click on "Zoom Tool"
- Right click must increase the zoom
- Left click must zoom out
- Make zoom enough until see the track as a dotted line and click on "Draw Tool"
- you might move the points in the dotted line, doing click on each point
- Click on "Multitool Mode"
- Can you use all tools at the same time? zoom, selection, time.
This test will check that Audacity Edit Toolbar Works
- Use the "Selection Tool" to select a segment and then click on "Cut"
- The select segment should disappear
- Use the "Selection Tool" to select a segment and then click on "Copy", now select a different segment and click on "Paste"
- Did Audacity make a successful copy of the segment?
- Use the "Selection Tool" to select a segment and then click on "Trim Audio"
- You should see only your selection
- To restore the track, do click on "Undo"

This test will check that Mixer Toolbar works
- Open an audio file, play it and move the "Output Volume"

This test will check that Meter Toolbar works
- Open an audio file and play it
- Can you see the "Output Level" moving?
- Click on "Disable Meter"
- Is the Meter disable?
- Click on "Enable Meter"
- The Meter would be available again
- Click on "Vertical Stereo"

- You can back to the horizontal mode, doing click on "Horizontal Stereo"

- A new window appears, Can you change the values? (Waveform, Frequency, Amplitude and Interpolation)

- A new window appears called "DTFM Tone Generator", Can you change the values? (DTFM sequence, Amplitude, Tone/Silence ratio)

- Select a noise type, amplitude and then click on OK
