b>This test case will ensure Nautilus works properly. To execute this testcase, ensure Nautilus is installed on your system.

This test will check that user can create files in Nautilus:

Look for Nautilus and launch it
Nautilus is opened, Home is selected
In Home folder right click on a blank section and select New Document, Empty Document. Name the resulting file 'moveme.txt'
Empty document moveme.txt is created
Was the empty document moveme.txt created?

This test will check that user can create folders in Nautilus:

In Home Folder right click on a blank section and select 'New Folder'.
A folder named 'Untitled Folder' appears in the directory
Rename the folder to 'test'
Was the folders name changed to 'test'?

This test will check that user can move files to folders:

Please ensure the Nautilus window is running and the Nautilus window is focused
Drag moveme.txt and drop into the folder test.
Is the file moveme.txt now located in 'test' folder?

This test will check that user can delete files and folders to Trash:

Please ensure the Nautilus window is running and the Nautilus window is focused
Right click on 'test' folder and select Move to Trash
test folder is removed. Trash folder icon is changed to Not empty
Click the Trash Icon in the sidebar
Does the Trash show the 'test' folder inside of it?

This test will check that user can recover delete files and folders from Trash:

Please ensure the Nautilus window is running and the Nautilus window is focused
Click the Trash Icon in the sidebar
test folder is showed.
Select 'test' folder and click 'Restore' in the top of the window
Click the Home Icon in the sidebar
The 'test' folder was recovered successfully?

This test will check that the search functionality works:

Please ensure the Nautilus window is running and the Nautilus window is focused
Click the Search Icon in the top
Input 'test'
the 'test' folder was shown?

This test will check the Recent functionality works:

Please ensure the Nautilus window is running and the Nautilus window is focused
Double click in the 'test' folder
Double click in the 'moveme.txt' file
A black file should be shown in the Editor
Close the Editor
'moveme.txt' should be selected
Click the Recent Icon in the sidebar
The 'moveme.txt' file is shown?

This test will check the clean Recent functionality works:

Please ensure the Nautilus window is running and the Nautilus window is focused
Click the Recent Icon in the sidebar
The 'moveme.txt' file is shown
Select the file
Right click and select 'Remove from Recent'
Recent place should be empty
Click the Home Icon in the sidebar
Click the Recent Icon in the sidebar
Is the 'moveme.txt' file gone?

This test will check that new files can be added to the "New Document" submenu:

Look for the Terminal application and launch it
The Terminal applications is open and a prompt displayed
Type FIELD=`cat ~/.config/user-dirs.dirs | grep XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR | sed 's/XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR=\"\(.*\)\"/\1/'` && eval "touch $FIELD/Another\ Empty\ Document"
The Terminal returns the prompt and a new file called "Another Empty Document" is created in the templates directory
Look for Nautilus and launch it
Nautilus is opened, Home is selected
In Home folder right click on a blank section and select New Document -> Another Empty Document. Name the resulting file 'another.txt'
Empty document another.txt is created
Was the empty document another.txt created?

This test will check that user can connect to Samba shares and copy files from the share:

Please ensure you have access to a samba share containing a file
Please ensure the Nautilus window is running and the Nautilus window is focused
On a local network, press 'Browse Network' in Nautilus and later 'Windows Network'
Default Share Group should be shown
Press the Default Share Group and later 'DESKTOP'
Shared directories are shown
Select a document from the share, righ click on it and choose 'Copy', left click on the 'Documents' section, right click in a empty space and select 'Paste'
File is copied from shared folder to user computer
Open the copied document
Did the copied file is open correctly, with it's contents the same as in the file on the share?

This test will check that user can connect to the Samba share and copy files to the share:

Please ensure you have access to a samba writable system
Please ensure the Nautilus window is running and the Nautilus window is focused
Click the Home Icon in the sidebar and double click on 'Examples' and later on 'Ubuntu_Free_Culture_Showcase'
Select one file, right click on it and choose 'Copy'
On a local network, press 'Browse Network' in Nautilus and later 'Windows Network'
Default Share Group should be shown
Press the Default Share Group and later 'DESKTOP'
Shared directories are shown
Double click on a Shared directory, right click on a blank section an select 'Paste'
File is copied from the user computer to the shared folder
Open the copied document on the share
Did the copied file is open correctly, with it's contents the same as in the file on the share?

This test will check that user can share documents to another system using Samba:

Please ensure you have access to an Internet connection
Please ensure you have access to an extern samba system
Please ensure the Nautilus window is running and the Nautilus window is focused
Right click on the 'test' folder and select 'Sharing Options'
A new window called 'Folder Sharing' is shown
Enable the 'Share this folder' option
A warning message is shown asking for installing the Sharing service
Select install service
A new window asking for installing additional software is shown
Select 'Install'
A window asking for authentication is shown
Input your password
Select 'Authenticate'
A new window will be shown 'Applying changes'
The new window will close itself and the previous window will take the focus
Enable the 'Guest access' option
Select 'Create Share'
From an extern Samba | Windows system go to shares
'test' folder is visible in the local network
Double click on 'test' folder, right click on 'moveme.txt' file and select 'copy'
Go to the local drive of the extern system and paste 'moveme.txt' there
is 'moveme.txt' pasted?
have the same content?

This test will check that a mounted USB drive appears in Nautilus:

Please ensure you have a USB drive available and the system under test has available USB ports.
Insert the USB drive into the USB port of the system under test
A new window of Nautilus should be open with the contents of the USB
The 'Devices' section should show the USB drive that was just inserted.
Click on 'Documents' and then right back to the USB drive entry in 'Devices' section
Are the USB drive contents displayed?

This test will check that 'Open' dialog appears when plugging in a music device:

Please ensure you have a USB drive available that contains music files and system under test has available USB ports. In addition it is assumed the Removable Media settings are unchanged from default, and will 'Ask what to do' for all media types when inserted.
Insert the player into the USB port of the system under tests and wait for new dialog to appear
An 'Open' dialog window will appear offering you options.
Select the 'Rhythmbox Music Player' application, if not already selected
Click OK button in the dialog box
Did Rhythmbox open with the Music Device displayed as a separate entry in the left panel tree?

This test will check that 'Open' dialog appears when inserting a DVD:

Please ensure you have a Video DVD available and system under test has DVD drive. Also ensure you have installed dvd playback support in ubuntu (if needed for DRM DVD). In addition it is assumed the Removable Media settings are unchanged from default, and will 'Ask what to do' for all media types when inserted.
Insert the DVD into the DVD drive of the system under tests and wait for new dialog to appear
An 'Open' dialog window will appear offering you options.
Select the 'Movie Player (Totem)' application, if not already selected
Click OK button in the dialog box
Did DVD playback start in Totem?

This test will check that 'Open' dialog appears on inserting an Audio CD:

Please ensure you have an Audio CD available and system under test has CD drive. It is assumed the Removable Media settings are unchanged from default, and will 'Ask what to do' for all media types when inserted.
Insert the Audio CD into the CD drive of the system under tests and wait for new dialog to appear
An 'Open' dialog window will appear offering you options.
Select the 'Rhythmbox Music Player' application, if not already selected
Click OK button in the dialog box
Did Rhythmbox open with the Audio CD displayed in left panel tree?

This test will check that 'Open' dialog appears on inserting a camera:

Please ensure you have a camera available. It is assumed the Removable Media settings are unchanged from default, and will 'Ask what to do' for all media types when inserted.
Plug in the camera to the system under test and wait for new dialog to appear.
An 'Open' dialog window will appear offering you options.
Select the 'Shotwell' application, if not already selected.
Click OK button in the dialog box
Did Shotwell open with the camera displayed in left panel tree?
