Thunar didn't crash but files seem to disappear and sometimes not to be renamed (expecially 9.txt and 10.txt).

1 - filenames appear to not change
Waited about 10 mins and seen 0 change in ~/newfolder. The first step did create the 10 .txt files in ~/newfolder though.

Ran test for about 30 minutes. Thunar didn't crash but files seem to disappear and sometimes not to be renamed and sometimes become invalid or inaccessible type or root owned.

Ran test for about 30 minutes. Thunar didn't crash but files seem to disappear and sometimes not to be renamed.
Tested sleep 2 and sleep 5 for a couple of seconds, same behaviour.

Test ran using the detailed list view in Thunar. Thunar didn't crash.
Files did definitely disappear (although reappeared after being renamed again).
Files were sometimes not renamed. The .txt files and the .txt.txt files were also getting mixed up, displaying .txt and .txt.txt for different file numbers at the same time. (i.e 1.txt 2.txt.txt ...)
