For this test - Thunar window fails to refresh correctly when renaming files.

Open Thunar, create a folder in a location of your choosing
Open a terminal at this location and run the following 2 commands in sequence
for i in $(seq 1 10); do touch "$i.txt"; done
10 files are created in your folder, named 1.txt through 10.txt
while true; do for i in $(seq 1 10); do mv "$i.txt" "$i.txt.txt"; done; sleep 1; for i in $(seq 1 10); do mv "$i.txt.txt" "$i.txt"; done; sleep 1; done
The files change name once every second
Watch the files in the thunar window as they change. Do so until you have allowed thunar to run for approximately 30 cycles. Note which of the issues stated below you have observed
To stop the filename changes press Ctrl+C

What you might see while completing this testcase:
1 - filenames appear to not change

Xubuntu 16.04. Thunar 1.6.10-2ubuntu1.0~16.04
Test ran using the detailed list view in Thunar. Thunar didn't crash.
Files did definitely disappear (although reappeared after being renamed again).
Files were sometimes not renamed. The .txt files and the .txt.txt files were also getting mixed up, displaying .txt and .txt.txt for different file numbers at the same time. (i.e 1.txt 2.txt.txt ...)

Everything worked as supposed. No crashes or other unusual activity. Files didn't disappear while renaming. Did not noticed if it changed names correctly, but it's not the thing.
